No chance of Halo being delayed. If they can have a beta in January they should be able to get the game shipped by 2015.

Seems reasonable, though i'd be more conservative and say 15
I think that 12 million is very achievable. I doubt the 20 million number. I just think that the "Hype" around the PS4 is falling off. The problem for M$ has been that their Hype fell off dramatically more. I think that M$ will continue to do more and more little things to get more parity in the consumers eyes. With that, they will not catch up to Sony in sales, but the gap will not increase as fast as it has in the last 6 months or so.
It is near the end of the end....

And Halo 5 might get delayed. My speculation is tomb raider will be 2015 holiday exclusive because halo 5 got delayed. Lol. |
I don't think Halo 5 will get delayed. Halo games have usually released in the Fall around September, so I expect Halo 5 to release at the same time as well. Tomb Raider will be a holiday system seller. They don't want both games competing with each other.
I believe a 10-15m lead is indeed possible. Who knows, maybe even a 20m lead - Sony has the games next year in order to achieve this. For this year though, my prediction is that the current gap of ~5m will widen further to 7-8m at the end of this year.

Maybe you'll bump the thread to say " wrong prediction, 25M lead finally :) " , with a combination of poor X1 sales during Jan -October until Haloand great PS4 sales ( it works together) , it could be.
Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:
PS4: 17m XB1: 10m WiiU: 10m Vita: 10m

Okay: I am updating my numbers. Its now 20 million. |
It's a possibility; I would say 15-20 million.

According to own predictions I made last year (and still highly reliable), by the end of 2015,
XB1 will have sold : between 11.2 and 17.4 million
PS4 will have sold : between 28.4 and 35.3 million
The gap will be between 13 and 22.7 million
Well, although the estimates above are correct with 95% confidence, the ranges are a bit large. I will update the data at the end of 2014, and the ranges will be much smaller.
In summary, your estimate of 20 million seems "POSSIBLE THOUGH NOT VERY LIKELY".
