Are you talking about Online or offline?

Because online requires a bit more than just drifting good! The enemies get quite good after like 3000 points!

Offline! I didn't touch the online mode because I'm too busy trying to 3-star everything!

What? You havent played online yet? Thats like the only reason i play the game!
Also 3 stars are really easy in this game and they dont even show up online anymore!

I don't know what to tell you.. I usually seem to get screwed over somehow in certain cups and I end up getting 2 stars.. :-/

Seems like so long as you win every race, you get three stars.

Takes some of the magical wonder out of it, and makes it easier. 

That's the problem.. I usually seem to get hit by something at the end of the damn race which stops me from winning the race! :-/

I don't know how to feel about the Mercedes DLC.. its nice that there is DLC but this is just so not nintendo..

On screen map fixes one of the problems. Only many more to go. :P

Ah, this might explain the difference on our perspective regarding the coins. Offline they are immaterial, winning 150cc/mirror 3 star is a walk in the park. Poor human racers are far more aggressive with weapons than the game's best AI. This makes poor item balance far more apparent in online races/races against humans.

Coins arent that big of a problem imo.

Sometimes they are useful, even on first place (when you dont have 10 yet).

However, i think they should lower the chance to like ~30% (seems like its around 50% right now) and another 30% for Green Shell and a Banana.
