people are shitting me with these replies are they not?

you got 6 area's/ planets. Earth, the Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars and The Reef. each has its own open world. as wee seen in the beta, the area is pretty big, now multiply that by 7, makes it HUGE..

the one place to explore isnt one small destination, its one, big open world map.

I didn't think it was that big. And the missions were so short as well.

Damn I was just about to post this. Curse you and your swiftness!

Still; that seems a little light for a game which has been in development for so long and has cost so much to develop. What have Desitiny been doing all this time? Burning the money to heat the offices?

Yeah. Its surprising cause the game has been in development for so long. Guess all the money is going into marketing the game.

They said they would release some big DLC every 3 months, so Im guessing theyre holding back on content....

when you multiply it by 6 it will seem a lot bigger, because it will be.

and it was a beta, you cant judge the entire missions in the area based on the beta. also, nobody ever said that you finish them area by area, its very likely that we can go back to doing missions on the earth after we do some on mars and venus. then go back to the moon, then earth again, then murcury, then mars again, then reef, then earth. its just an example, but nobody said it was finish one area and move on to the other.

Well the missions were somewhat short and straightforward; and it wasn't the biggest map I've ever seen either. It was a good size but not massive. Yeah it's just the beta; thinngs could be difference but still.

It's just the cost and the dev time which I don't get; you'd think it'd be packed with content but no doubt much of it will end up as DLC

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

its still a beta, you cant really judge the entire content of the game based on the beta. specially with an open world game.

I wasted huge amount of time with my friends on the beta. It says here about 17 hours, and if I multiply that by 6, I think it is enough content for me. (Given I played decent amount of multi player as well)

I think there are huge plans for massive DLC to become available over time until Destiny 2 arrives.

Please, stop making sense. We should immediately jump to conclusions and start attacking Bungie without first knowing how large the areas are.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

I'm sure this is just another similarity it has with MMOs, it'll release new areas as time goes on, and eventually be really big. If not, that's pretty sad.

1: No we are not

2 the area's are not that big in the beta most people covered whole the area and even the moon pretty fast in the beta

3 People reached pretty easy level 8 in the game, if their was no level cap in the beta people would reach level 20 possible in a few days (10-15 hours of playtime)..

4 The content like Europa/Chicago that they talked about is not in the game and probably will be DLC and the neogaf thread about it had a lot of disapointed users... Makes the game only more lacking in content

5,     11 Crucile maps is not really that much aswell... In BF we accept 10 MP maps because the maps are huge but they were not in Destiny.

6  Destiny only has 22 story missions and that aswell sounds lackluster if you played the beta and finished like 5-6 pretty fast?
