I'm yet to hear any real complaints about Destiny.



I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime. 

The NX will be a 900p machine

Haven't heard much complaining aside from some early trailers. Everyone shut up once the alpha and beta released. After playing it myself I'm 100% sold on it.

It might not have occured to you that many people prefer console shooters to PC shooters because they prefer the gamepad controls over mouse and keyboard.

Saying you prefer to play a shooter with a gamepad instead of m+kb is like saying you prefer to walk with one leg instead of two

Even if it's less precise, it is more enjoyable for more people.

It's like comparing a standard car to an automatic. One may be better for control, but the other is preferred in general. Hence the term "best shooters" being used for consoles, since they are preferred by more people even though they are not necessarily offering better control.

For Nintendo fans, a lot of the time we're not that big into online centric games or shooters. But too be fair Destiny could have a great single-player for all I know, despite my plans to get a PS4 it simply doesn't capture my interest.

For Xbone fans... it is interesting that an online centric shooter would get talked down by any of them, though I haven't seen to much of that. Maybe they feel betrayed by Bungie?

I personally think Halo Wars, Halo 3:ODST and Halo Reach are weaker entries in the Halo franchise than Halo 1-3 from Bungie (but still amazing games). They seemed to loose some steam after Halo 3 and haven't really found back to their previous magic. I haven't seen the old Bungie magic in Destiny yet but it still looks like a great game. Does that make me a hater for holding Bungie to those standards?

Meh. I don't hate it, I just don't think it deserves the praise it receives as it is a pretty generic product with terribly imbalanced PvP.

Also, the way I see it, if Destiny 2 becomes exclusive to MS for the most unimaginable reason, you can be sure that many PS4 fans will drop support. It happened for some games before (RE4, FFXIII for example) and look at all the hate Bayo 2 is getting from Sony fans on the internet.

The way I see it, many Sony fans here are playing victim because they are so used to hating on something that is no longer exclusive. So they project their own sentiments on other gamers and act high and mighty about it (bubblegamer, sal).

Honestly, on vgchartz, I have not seen any downplaying of Destiny by MS fans. Actually, I barely see MS fans on here anymore. For instance, where are Seece, Kowen and Jaywood at all? Left are mostly cross-plat fans like JazzB... and NobleTeam360, and some smaller profile members like imagedvl and sladealpha (who I think is an xbox fan).

VERDICT: IT'S BORING

 

That took about 5 mins to find. This is not an isolated concept, we've had topics on this before. This thread for example: Sony/Ms fans on Destiny

You might be oblivious to what was taking place for months and months in threads, but there has been a deliberate and persistant attempt, from a very small group to downplay this title. It escalated following the change from xbox exclusive to multiplatform title, to finally multiplatform title with exclusive content on the PS4. It's been interesting to watch.

The game is ok so far. Does that make me a hater? Since I am playing it on ps3 and I have a wii u.

Being critical of Destiny's obvious flaws means you're a Destiny hater.

I recall Sony fans being critical of Watch Dogs simply because it wasn't 1080p.

So it seems. Maybe he'd have been better off saying that those "downplaying" Destiny are XB1/Wii U fans...though the only downplaying I've seen here is from people who didn't like Halo in the first place. Honestly I don't even see that much downplaying on N4G either...

Watch Dogs isn't 1080p on PS4? O_o It's not like it even looks that good.
