Probably.

But I dislike the Amiibo concept really much. It's such a misguided effort by Nintendo.

How is THIS expanding gaming?

Depends on what they do with them.

In what way do you think Amiibo figures can reach non-traditional gaming audiences?

I LOVE ICELAND!

This sounds really good wonder if they'll have different Amiibos available or if they'll all be placed with Mario

XBOX ONE/Wii U/3DS/PC

RIP Iwata 12/6/1959-7/11/2015

Thanks for all the great memories!

Why do they need to reach them?

Please no.

I do not want to be seen buying a game that comes with a plastic toy.

Amiibo needs to die in a fire.

Perhaps you should act older than 13 and not care?

I don't know and I don't know if I'm completely sold on Amiibo either, but there are some interesting possibilities if Nintendo really runs with it. I'm not sure I want to get these things either, but not everything has to "expand gaming".

Launch date sounds right. Like 3D World last year, they're not going to miss Black Friday for the world. Amiibo pack-in seems sensible, though could create a rush to get them all for collectors.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Toys reach kids, which then grow up to then (hopefully) buy more traditional video games. Nintendo is probably trying to entice kids whose parents might be raising them on mobile gaming.

Thats gonna be pretty dang cool.

As long as my copy has a bundled ZSS amiiga, erm I mean ammibo.

Hot Damn

both the figure and the date sound pretty likely imo.

how far apart do we think the JP and NA dates will be?
