I never said crap. But a toy will not sale consoles. The average gamer age is 30 or something.
They are game developers. Develop games of every genre directly competing with ms sony is exactly what they should be doing. Every genre they dont make they concede that market to their competition and lose that genres sales to them.

I apologize for putting words in your mouth.
Still, they are trying to directly compete in games, but they don't have the support, so they pick their battles. Also, since the amiibo is cross game/genre, how could it really hurt any title?
I fully expect more Mario titles to fill sports gaps, and Splattoon seems to be the Nintendo take on COD. Bayonetta is probably the best character action game. Smash is their fighter. No one competes in platformers. X and FExSMT cover JRPGs. Zelda hits action and adventure. They're also rocking the indie scene pretty hard, Shovel Knight was amazing. I don't really see Nintendo giving up on a lot of genres on Wii U.
I do think they missed out on cashing in on the World Cup by not going with a new Mario Strikers for Wii U instead of 3DS Mario Golf.
