Forums - Sales - The impact of amiibo on sales?

You know, the talk of 'possibilities' and 'potential' when it comes to Nintendo is starting to get tiresome.

I suppose it has the potential to, and that's if you trust Nintendo enough to handle it properly.

They're batting a thousand since MK8.

That only shows they can handle a well established formula with a known series.

I'm pretty sure a Zero Suit Samus Amiibo toy could surely make one hell of an impact..

I just worry that they'll oversaturate the market too quickly. They need to space releases out and not do a skylanders where there are 90+ figures a game, that just gets too much on the wallet to quickly and makes people second guess buying them all. Should make Nintendo a tidy profit, sell a few consoles (not lots though I think), and I highly suscect that people will buy these who don't even own a wii u just to have Nintendo figures.

Well Amiibo are kind of their own platform in a sense. They won't release them per game since they are cross game.

Im pretty sure the amiibos will sell great and give them a lot of profit.
I dont think it will have a big impact on the sales though...
They would have to make a game that uses them in a unique way no one has seen before, but i dont see that happening anytime soon.

If you're interested in Nintendo content and understand german, maybe you want to take a look at my youtube channel! :)

Hopefully Nintendo isn't that stupid.

I think this is "good" for the competition. Nintendo are aiming for little children , but when they get older the only thing they want is a PS4 or XOne.

Sorry what I mean is that you're right. They do need a game focused on Amiibos like Experiment has said, if they don't realize that then they are stupid.
