I was just replying to your second statement, not the first.
And I would argue that due to services like Steam and Nexus streamlining games on PC, people know more about PCs than ever. Even building one is easy, there's no solder work or anything like that.

Building one yourself sounds easy, but you need technical know how. If you force DDR3 RAM in to a DDR2 slot (mysteriously), you're doing something wrong. I have many people come and ask me where they can buy GDDR5 RAM because of the PS4. I usually tell them it doesn't exist in the context you're thinking of. My second statement refers to primary reasons; Steam, GOG, humble bundle, etc are all secondary and not primary reasons to build a gaming PC. You are building a gaming PC because you want higher fidelity and a higher frame rate and higher resolutions

No MBs these days have slots for DDR2, so that doesn't even matter. An average consumer would realise very fast that DDR3 is normal RAM, if they didn't already know.
And there is little technical know-how needed now. Maybe in the past where parts were incompatible, but these days you can just use PC Partpicker to make sure all your parts work out before you purchase them. The rest is as easy as putting together some Legos.

Very true. The Wii U has a vastly different library than the PS4/One/PC though. The latter tend to be very similar in overall games, while the Wii U is full of exclusives. A PC can be a replacement for one of the other consoles, but it doesn't really work as a replacement for the Wii U.

Playstation exclusives never go to PC either, so... nope im not getting a PC, Demons Souls, Uncharted, Bloodborne, GT, Driveclub, The Persona Series, God of War, Valkyria Chroniicles, the Tales Games, Disgaea, Drakengard, Infamous, The Last of Us, The Yakuza Games, The Neptunia Games, Twisted Metal, Dragons Crown etc etc. i wont purchase a PC just to play the best version of the multiplats, i just wont.

So, did you not bother to read the bolded line in the OP? Yes, Playstation exclusives don't go to PC. But that doesn't mean that PC doesn't have exclusives. Civilization, Star Citizen, Total War, Counterstrike, Gary's Mod, Guild Wars, TF2, and the thousands of indies that consoles don't get. Not to mention that modded games like Skyrim and Fallout destroy their console alternatives, and are beter than almost any game imaginable due to the openess. And that PC has access to emulators, which is a different story all together. Let's not pretend that it doesn't go both ways.
