up until the wii i think that was right.
but with the wiiu i have seen 1st party games drop in price ... hell nintendo is even giving away games for free if you buy mario kart.
you know something is not seeling well enough if games which never ever would get a pricecut in older gens to giving away free games :(

well if you need to buy a complete new pc with all parts it can get expensive.
if you have only to upgrade simple parts like mobo, cpu, memory, gpu then $500 is more than enough until next gen.
