PS4 in the long run. 3DS is just in a drought right now. When Pokemon and Smash come out, it's sales will be up for a long time. But eventually go back down. 3DS will probably sell anywhere between 85m-105m. PS4 will probably sell 120-130m. I just don't think either 3DS or PS4 will outsell the DS and PS2. So my point about the Pokemon and Smash Bros. was that PS4 is gonna be behind for a couple of more years.

What kind of Software does the PS4 have to sell 100 million even, let alone higher.

It will have Gran Turismo, GTA, CoDs, Battlefield, Assassin's Creed, Destiny (this game will be huge, absolutely gigantic and will move insane amounts of hardware and kill CoD), Watch Dogs, Uncharted, Need For Speed. GTA V is actually not far from the actual LTD sales of 3DS. This games are huge, massive sellers. People don't need software to buy PS4s because they know it will get all 3rd party titles just like all its predecessors did. I will take a bet that PS4 will sell more than 100M units lifetime anyday.

Just asking since the PS3 only sold to 30 to 50 million individuals who bought multiple PS3s for reasons.

I can see Destiniy doing a boost in sales but everything else looks like it will just keep the steady stream at mośt.

GTA is an unknown way away, but will boost sales. (PS3 is great example for this)

But I suspect that only 50 to 100 million individuals actually bought a DS.

The only systems I know that don't have inflation would be PS2 & GBA. The best is Wii, it only sold per household, with very few having any multiple Wii's.

The PS4 can still do more better if it wasn't for Xbox ONE. Plus the Xbox ONE is now flying off the selves by just having the same price as the PS4.

The PS4 could have as high as 175% as much sells, if it wasn't for X1, but has still broken records anyways.

PS4, the system will keep selling consistently rather then a large burst like the 3DS. The PS4 will have price cuts that will keep the sales strong, and possibly 1 or 2 redesigns.

Man, the PS4 is fall down and the Wii sales catch up him very soon.

The market will downsized.

PS4- 82 LTD
3DS-80-120LTD

You do realize that the 3DS hasn't had a price cut in 3 years, because it was selling good until now?

Clearly a up to $70 price cut is coming to the 3DS with an obvious $50 price cut coming to the 3DS XL. Plus exclusives like Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate & Super Smash Bros. portable & King of Pirates & other exclusive from Mega Man creator & Rodea the Sky Soldier & so fort, will help the 3DS come no later then Q4 2014. But til then, I see Nintendo focusing on Wii U until it can take care of itself in October.

The market was inflated last Gen, excluding Wii; which was underflated by being sold 1 per household.

People bought multiple PS3 & DS & PSP & 360.

I think thats too much for a price cut.I think 30$ for 3DS and I agree 50$  cut for the 3DS XL

The 3DS may be the only 8th gen to get past 80mil. due to the bad console selling...

The 3DS isn't an 8th gen console. It's a 5th gen HANDHELD.

He's talking about 8th Gen Video Game Systems.

He only said bad console selling, because Home Consoles this Gen are suspected to be lower lifetime sells then the previous Gen of  Home Consoles of 80 + 80 + 100 million.

What? But the 3DS is a FITH GENERATION handheld. It's not even IN the 8th gen. And even if it were, it's not a console lol. Makes abosoultely no sense comparing two completely different products from two completely different generations.

Except Nintendo did an $80 cut in Q3 2011, and are clearly going to do an up to $70 price cut in Q4 2014 for the 3DS.

The 2DS was selling 30% of 3DS family in Q4 2013 when it first release, but in the first half of 2014 it has only sold 20% of 3DS family with all the stores selling it for $99. And now the 2DS is selling less for the rest of this year so far, even though the 2DS is currently being sold for $109 with the newly arrive shipment at all the stores. The suggested retail price for the 2DS is $130, so it's doing really bad for the brand new shipment to be disconnect by $20 after only a week or so on the store selves.

Nintendo really ignored the 3DS this year and really on focused on Wii U especially at E3. Games like Kirby rainbow curse and Mario Maker could have been easily made for the 3DS, except instead of using NSMBU graphics it would use NSMB2 graphics for mario maker.Really the only big releases this year were Yoshi's New Island (which was OK but woolly world looks soooo much better), Kirby Triple Deluxe, Smash Bros 3D, and Pokemon gen 3 remakes. Compare that to 2013 where we got Luigi's Mansion dark moon, Pokemon X and Y, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D,Mario and Luigi Dream Team, A link between worlds, and probably a couple more I missed.

Kirby Rainbow Curse is played on the touch screen, so it wouldn't have worked on the 3DS because it wouldn't use the 3D screen.

Mario Maker has the NES game, and they would need more time & money to do the stereoscopic rendering, especially time consuming, I mean just figuring out how exactly you want to do 3D in the NES Super Mario Bros. game consumes time by itself, let alone the other things in development that would consume even more time for a 3DS Mario Maker. And there's no reason to make Mario Maker for Wii U if there's a 3D one. So they had every reason for this game to also be on the Wii U exclusively instead.

2014 does have a great 3DS lineup, you just didn't see many revealed at E3 for the Wii U's sake. But look forward to unannouced games coming to the 3DS in just 2014 alone.
