Forums - Nintendo - Amiibo Figurines Pic! Update: Packaging Pics Now and Estimate Pricing ($10-$15)

I just rewatched the Digital Event...

Reggie said during the amiibo section that Disney Infinity and Skylanders Trap Team will have unique features and functionalities on Wii U. He said in another interview with ign that the figurines of these games aren't amiibo figurines themseves, they have it's own tech.

So, why did he mention Skylanders and Disney Infinity in the amiibo section?

Could this mean that you can unlock Nintendo related stuff in Disney Infinity and Skylanders Trap Team with amiibo figurines from Smash Bros. or other games? That would raise my interest in these games from 0% to moderate.

EDIT: Nah, Skylanders and Disney Infinity are released before Smash and Smash will be the first game to support it.

Of course they don't show the ZSS amiibo

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

It should have been a real Pokemon branded system and game.

Marth, Link, Villager, Samus... ALL of them will be mine!

I wish Nintendo luck but I'm not interested

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

Hmmm... if any, ever, Pit and Marth for me.

Link, Zelda and Samus bought.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

Why keep it exclusive to it? :0

Also pokemon OR/AS comes out holiday and those are remakes. Your idea could fit later on pokemon XY (third installment) or next gen pokemon. (also 3ds accessory for amiibo wont be out this year)

Gimmicky but it could sell some decent amount. I doubt any gamer is interested in it from a gameplay perspective.

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

Great business idea but I (as a consumer) don't care. (Yet)
