Speak for yourself and please learn to read the actual sources instead of focusing one one mispoken word. Try reading what the man actually said for once.

Please enjoy being the only person on the planet who believes that Link's gender is up to the player, or that Aonuma in any way confirmed that.

Considering tons of people read the words of multiple interviews where he said exactly that. I won't be. You however only read one interview and ignored all the others and focused on one word. Meanwhile the context of what he was actually saying contradicts that belief. Again read this http://www.gamespot.com/articles/e3-2014-the-legend-of-zelda-producer-confirms-the-hero-is-link-is-male/1100-6420451/ Pretending he didn't say it doesn't mean he didn't. He did and I've proved it time and time again. You however continue to ignore the truth and continue to flame and troll for reasons unknown when anyone with eyes can read his words in that link and know for fact that he said it was up to the player to decide.

Yeah, come back when you can quote an article who's title doesn't contradict your arguement. I'll wait forever.

Try reading the actual article. The title doesn't matter. His words matter. You say he never said it wasn't up to the player. Yet his exact words: "The reason for that is because, for me, Link is the player," said Aonuma to GameSpot. "And I don't want to look too closely at, or give too much information about, who the player character is, because it's supposed to represent the player--him or herself."

"The character's a hero, and represents the player in the game, so I leave that to the player to decide what the characteristics are of the player character, because it's supposed to represent him or herself. If that makes sense!"

Sorry Conegamer. I am seriously trying to be civil. You've seen first hand when I'm not being civil. It's not easy however when some people continually ignores and disregards all the evidence I have presented and continually insults me and flames me. Thank you for stepping in tho. i appreciate it because a few more posts I might say something I'd regret. So I'm going to do what I should have done a long time ago and just walk away and not let him bait me anymore than he has already. Thank you again for stepping in.

Oh man, the fact that some people still believe that Link in the trailer is a chic is very sad XD I'm not exactly sure why people think the character looks all that feminine... because thats one ugly chic if thats the case :P hell SS Link looked more feminine than this one...
But whatever, I don't really care what people think, if they wanna believe in delusion-land that Link is a chic, that isn't my problem.

As Conegamer said, can everyone please keep it civil.

If you cannot, leave the thread.

He meant that if a girl absolutely cannot get over the fact that Link is a male, she can imagine a different character and completely ignore Link's masculine voice, masculine clothing, and relationships (many romantic relationships have been implied throughout the series).

Link the character is male. Aonuma admits it when he refers to him as a "him". And I can assure you, it's not translator error. The Japanese words for "him", "her", and "them" are very distinguishable.
