Truth be told though, many still think Sony outright failed to capitalize on the Vita though. Perhaps attempting to whip said dead horse would be better than leaving things to die permanently.

Wait, the Vita? Ah I get you, so you mean at least people are still arguing about the Wii U, which is better than complete silence and indifference? Yeah maybe.
I was posting the dead horse because none of the OP's points were even remotely new. So I wondered why he bothered making the thread. Also it reads like another "Nintendo should do what the others do" post, and I strongly disagree. Gamers need to realize they're gamers, not analysts. From OUR point of view, diversity is good, quirkiness is good, variety is good. Leave the number crunching to the suits. What do we win if Nintendo releases the third middle-of-the-road FPS box? Nothing.
One more thought: The bestselling thing is not necessarily the best. Sony's/MS's blockbusters may be the equivalent to a Transformers / Iron Man / Fast & Furious movie. Hugely successful. Should I ask David Lynch to make Will Smith movies then?
Nintendo's quality is phenomenal right now, and that's all we should care about. Other than that I just leave them alone. I'm not trying to tell a genius musician what song to write either.
