I guess they do just like MS does or maybe because third party games sell better on PS consoels globally? Yeah that has nothing to do with the return in global profits at all.

Where were you 7th generation?

Looking at PS3 games outsell their 360 counterparts in every country outside of the US COD and GTA actually sold in japan on PS3.Incredible.Oh that's right U
S only matters to Xbox fans lol.

Globally means Worldwide. Every single COD game on 7th gen home consoles Worldwide are topped by 360, every single Battlefield and Madden too. Didn't bother to check the countless others

Also, GTA IV and Liberty City Stories sold more on 360.

Xbox exclusives sold more last gen

This is false and I don't know where people get this from.Besides Halo and Gears nothing sold much. Forza and Fable were the onky other franchises to go plat.Every PS exclusive minus a few sold over 1million copies. Games like Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, Viva Pinata, Crack Down, Banjo, Perfect Dark, Kameo Knights and Alan Wake sold pporly compared to Sony's games. Mostly shooters old on the Xbox and Forza or Fable do not make the top 10.

According to VGChartz, 360 sold more software than PS3 in the 7th gen.

You're excluding some very popular Kinect games by the way.

This is stupid as it does not make sense and you have no proof.Sony does not throw money at games they do not own. That is MS with Titanfall and other games.I am glad they did not waste money on Sunset when they spent money on better games and will continue to do so.

You're absolutely right, Sony just gets exclusive content and early betas because they're Sony lol.

Well of course there is a totally different cost involved in making a game(£10m+) to paying for some DLC £100-250k+...

Paying for exclusive DLC/marketting rights to a game that you feel is going to do well and support your key audience (like Destiny, we know this game is going to be big and could be big for Sony), compared to bankrolling a game which you dont own the IP... way more risky. In fact all you are doing is helping that studio make a name for itself. If the Franchise is big they can just bring the next game out on all platforms and your original Moneyhat benefit will be lost.

So let's not be confused here big difference between the two, now I dont necessarily like the DLC delay, in fact Fallout 3 DLC was one of the most annoying things in my recent gaming history. One of the best games ever made, i was hungry for DLC, but Bethesda weren't even allowed to talk about it and it took over 6 months (maybe more) to get it on PS3... GTAV was the same. So if its only a month or so early, no problem, if its 6 months to a year... now that is taking the biscuit.

My post had nothing to do with the difference in funding a game and paying for exclusive content. It was a response to him saying "Sony does not throw money at games they do not own". Which is false, very false.

Besides you're talking about delayed DLC, does the exclusive content Sony pays for EVER come to Xbox?

I wonder if Insomniac made the switch because they feel that they'd sell more games on XBOX than PS? Doesn't look like such a great decision now. Then again, I think XBOX exclusives will still sell more than PS4 exclusives. Yes, even with the 2 million console sales lead.

Xbox exclusives sold more last gen because Microsoft split the multiplatform following fanbase Sony had expanded off of the back of Nintendo in the 80's and early 90's. Microsoft didnt expand the audience but they kind of just took them and were amazed by the sales that Sony once enjoyed and now had themselves.

As for the reason why Insomniac left for MS. Sunset Overdrive is basically the game Insomniac had dreamed of making in their twenty years of working with Sony, but for once they wanted the IP and Sony wanted it. They couldnt agree so MS scooped them up. MS likes Sony devs or anyone affiliated with Sony.

Let me see this top ten of which you speak. I take it you havent seen Microsofts million sellers list on this site. Microsoft sold more at times when you talk about comparable mulitplats, especially when you're talking about COD and other games. A lot of early adopters of the 360 owned PS2's.

I love you too Insomniac. Now please make me a full fledged Ratchet for PS4.

A new Spyro game ( none of that Skylanders garbage) wouldn't be a bad idea either!

It truly would be a great idea. It doesn't seem at all likely now though because of those spoilers.

I know! Damn you, Activision! >:(
