Comparing Gamecube and Wii U is unfair, GC got price cut. A 50$ one so from 200 to 150 and gc has melee from launch....

I actually didn't realize Gamecube sold that well. I didn't even know anyone who had one.

There's 100 posts talking about how sh*t Wii U is selling, but not that many with nicely assembled graphs like this and no opinions.  We could say the same about almost any topic... like there's also more threads talking about Mario Kart 8 than ZyroX has subscibers (j/k).

Those sales weren't that great, they just look good when compared to the Wii U. 

As someone who remembers the GCN era vividly a lot of people were panicking over those level of sales back then.

The Wii U can do a lot better. But you can't really judge by a slow start. That's like comparing the PS1 vs PS2 vs PS3 or PSP vs PS Go vs PS Vita.

If anyone has the math skill to do it, a graph showing the performance of all consoles across generations and factoring out the general decline of the console market would be most interesting.

Yeah, the sales still are terrible, but I thought they were no more than 2-3 million as I didn't know a single person in real life that owned one.

Wii U is officially doomed. Can't even pull GCN numbers, what a tragedy.

If you're going to post on a sales forum then don't complain about sales threads.
