I don't see the point of constantly having these threads... kind of like. "Oh hay, did you know the Wii U isnt selling well, lets compare". It is stupid and childish to post these threads, not to mention they are click bait for trolls.

It's a sales thread, it's nice to look at actual data rather than a bunch of uninformed opinions.

Do you think the N64 having CD-ROM was really all it would´ve taken to stop the PS1 from taking off?..you know videogame history, so tell me, could the whole 'Nintendo handing the crown over to Sony' in the 5th gen really be reduced to just CD-ROM?...or was there more to it?

No CD-ROM probably meant the N64 missed out on hundreds of games it would've gotten otherwise, so it's not just one little thing. It also would've allowed N64 games to be cheaper which another problem for the system. 

A system with Mario 64, GoldenEye, Final Fantasy VII, Zelda: OoT, Resident Evil, Mario Kart 64, Castlevania, etc. even if the third party stuff wasn't exclusive would've cleaned up. 

Does anyone know something about the games which have been released for the Gamecube after this time period?

Damn, Gamecube had a great second year. Sales went up 50%! Wii U is a little startling. It's second year is worse than it's first? Wow. Even if it only sells just Nintendo's dismal forecast this year, it'd be up YoY. I still think it could see some pretty explosive growth, but explosive growth from a starting point like this still only puts it at about Gamecube sales lifetime.

N64 and GC had bad legs, that's why it isn't impossible that the Wii U outsells the GC. Depends on how much effort Nintendo spends in first-party games and how long they support the console.

People are doing this so that we won't forget the WiiU's failure!

It's VGC; we look at and compare current and past sales regulartly.  This kind of "I don't see the point" posts are useless.
