Looking at sales, that audience isn't the audience that buys a Wii U, either (sadly)!  Even my little girl that loved all things Wii a few years ago only wants to play more mature games.  It tears my heart out. :(

Nintendo problem right now is that they have made a console for kids (even they said so and pointed their lack of appeal to the younger audience as one of the causes for their bad results with WiiU) but priced it as a console for adults.

Even Donkey on WiiU, with its 0.54 mill + digital, appeals to somewhat of a 10% of its audience. Look how many people bought Viva Piñata or Banjo-Kazooie for the 360.

Which speaks to the industry view of such games. It got funded well above its goal so off to a good start. Now we see how well it sells.

Most of rare games especially n64 are outdated gameplay wise. Making a new game in a franchise needs new stuff that old rare fans will bitch about. Bk nuts and bolts for example. Making one of those will be hard to make gamers happy for it.

To be fair Mario, Sonic, LBP, Rachet & Clank (The good ones) Minecraft, LEGO and so on sell very well. I don't think a RARE game like Banjo kazooie would sell very well only being on the Xone though, it would need to be multiplat.

Conker might sell. All the Xbox kids would ask their parents for it since it has a bunch a dirty jokes, and then there would be the occasional dumb parents who buys it for their 4-year-old because of the art style!

Microsoft killed the franchise. If Nintendo did the smart thing and acquired RARE these games would have been released at least one per gen and stayed relevant.
