Reality backs me up not hopes and dreams like you are rolling with.

Just saying times are a changing and you are still stuck in 2013. Having nothing to back yourself up except "my console sells more globally" is lowering the bar for yourself

Reality backs me up, not the hopes and dreams you are rolling with.

What proof do you have that times are changing, PS4 is killing the X1 in sales week after week after month.  Dont tell me you buy into the bs MS says, every month its a new message they are trying to fool people into buying they box with.  Its just desperate pr flip flopping.

Reality......very ironic given PS3's early years. Many a PS fan thought it was better, despite being last place for most of the generation.

Point being, discuss based on things like games, services, online......not banking on geographical brand loyalty. Thats weak.

LMAo using the strength of PS brand and its recovery last gen ina  pro xbox argument.  PS3 recovered not xbox, why not find some instance of a xbox product pulling of a recovery and not PS3 you know a PLAYTSTATION console.  Everytime you xbox apologists use PS3 as an example you just show how strong the PS brand is.  It does nothing to show potential for X1 to achive same recovery.

Plus is better, id get Gold for X1 if it wasent so pointless .  Service like that you mean ? games like Infamous and coming DC and TheOrder, wtf are MS big games for the later part of the year ?  Since launch where are the X1 exclusives ? pc 360 titanfall ? wow.

Yawn.....the 3rd party game argument IS the weaker specs argument, just with a new coat of paint.

Lack of 1st party? lol cherry picking much? Their big game offerings are more numerous (DR3, F5, TF vs KZ and I:SF)

Indies and PR that has nothing to do with the actual console?.....wow you guys really have to scrape the bottom of the barrel for cons now.

Reality is what it is not matter how much you want to deny it.

PS4 has been besmirchuing the X1 for many reasons, not just price.  March already proved that.

Just saying times are a changing and you are still stuck in 2013. Having nothing to back yourself up except "my console sells more globally" is lowering the bar for yourself

i think you are scraping the barrel for any positive spin.  Reality is PS4>XB1 regardless of games, apps, etc.  Sales prove it, price drops + bundle and still not outselling proves it, and game tastes are different.  6 months in and most "hardcore gamers" have already purchased their system of choice.  General consumers are looking for best bang for the buck.  Without the kinect, the XB1 lost its main selling point.. now it's just a weaker console compared to the ps4 at the same price point.   Saying times are changing while ignoring the present puts yourself into the straw grasping category.  I think it's you who needs to pull out of the 360 glory days and face the changes happening around you.

And to note.. Even 360's glory days couldn't stop the PS3 from eventually outselling it worldwide even at a year's head start.  NA+UK only < The world.

Man.. I hate it when your girl has to leave my place to come back to you..

It was last place because it released a year later though....

And unlike PS4 vs XBone, PS3 and 360 sales were similar to each other, not PS3 being outsold by almost 70% on a weekly basis. And the fact that with aligned launches, the PS3 outsold the 360 every comparable year? These two situations you bring up aren't even remotely comparable.

The point is not based on the events but the results, being that saying "im better because my console sells more" isn't a strong point at all. Its very weak, something only one fan says to another to incite a reaction, not one of real discussion.

What can I say, if the X1 is a solid console and MS keeps positively supporting it, then losing to geographical brand disparities doesn't bother me too much. It's fun to brag that you are winning, but were all gamers in the end.

We all know this. Mainland Europe and Japan are just too much geography in Sonys favor.

But if it wins where we personally live, a local victory where our personal friends and family choose X1 over PS4, then I'll take that any day.

Because at the end of the day, I could care less what the Spanish or what the Japanese or whatever prefer. I care about what console people play most where I live.

If I go BAAAAAAA!, am I likely to get banned?

Never understood the idea of buying the same devices your friends had. Sure, that was ok in 4th grade or something, but as an adult you should always invest in what would be better for you, your household or your own sensitivies. Saying - probably not meaning - that you buy what most of the people related to you buy, kinda sounds like mindless herd mentality.

As an adult I would hope you have enough money to afford both consoles. Maybe not when they first launch but at least some point down the road.

Sounds like you are trying to convince yourself, I do care about Japan I like their games.

I like japanese games, but I don't care what the average japanese gamer buys....
