I like japanese games, but I don't care what the average japanese gamer buys....

If the average japanese gamer bought more Xbox consoles you would get more support from devs and more games like Jojos All Star Battle for example.

Yes, what gems I will be missing out on ;)

Well the big Japanese developers will be multiplatting their titles. Dead Rising 3 is an exclusive, which surprised me. MS will make deals like always.

Having less games is better

yea right

The ship has sailed as far as the global market goes.

In the US they have a chance, but to be able to even compete, they need to be cheaper than the PS4.

We all know this. Mainland Europe and Japan are just too much geography in Sonys favor.

But if it wins where we personally live, a local victory where our personal friends and family choose X1 over PS4, then I'll take that any day.

Because at the end of the day, I could care less what the Spanish or what the Japanese or whatever prefer. I care about what console people play most where I live.

So what you're saying is that you base your console of choice by deciding to buy whatever console everyone else around you is buying, right?

Nope what I am saying is that fanboys get validation from sales numbers. While someone may feel happy knowing their console is winning somewhere else, if their own local game stores and peers don't feel the same way, it does have an impact.

I just go where Halo goes.

So what you are saying is that the console of choice of the people around where you live determines what your console of choice, right?  And it's a local victory when that console sells more than the competing console, right?

Whats important is more desirable games. PS3 taught me that. 360 has a bigger library, more 70-79, 80-89, 90+ meta scores, yet PS3 seemingly has a better offering. Jus saying.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

You remidn me of "How Frozen should have ended" on Youtube. You keep getting it wrong! ;P

Fanboys take pleasure in sales. Seeing their own country/local area not support it as much will be a blow to them. They will still play their console regardless.

Well nevermind 2015, 2014 is still not even half done. Let the adopters buy up this new sku and MS can easily have something else ready for the holidays. MS likes to have something sell for a few months, move on to the next selling point, and so on.

Mar-May is Titanfall/bundles. June-September is the $399 SKU. Oct-December......we shall see.

We'll see. I do expect lots of great bundles from M$ this coming holiday season, but I think the fact that they chose to drop mandatory Kinect instead of cutting the price to 399 means that the losses would be too great for them to justify a cheap Kinect model this year. they're really gonna have to throw in the kitchen sink if they wanna catch Sony at this point.

But you specifically said  'I care about what console people play most where I live."

Why?  It doesn't matter what anyone else owns as long as you are enjoying your purchase whether you are in the majority or minority, whether it's a local or global scale.  And you were the one who brought up "fanboys" and "sales."  It never crossed my mind. You need to get out of defense mode and stop making excuses.

Then you sir have no idea what you are talking about. X1 will launch at $399 in Canada where PS4 is still $450. Canadian tastes in gaming mirror that of the US so the gap will shrink faster. You do realize Spain is THE most PS brand loyal country in Europe right? Please don't confuse X1 with WiiU with the Dreamcast remark.

Unless you are super sarcastic now, because your post is just plain wrong.

I'm curious where your getting this from?  I'm not saying your wrong I mean I don't know for sure, but I'm on Canada amazon pretty often and I almost never see X1 high up in the top 100 like the PS4 is, and while PS4 is up there frequently even after the increase in price, in fact right now PS4 is #10 and X1 is at #83, even the Wii U is ahead and there's multiple Wii U bundles at #35 and #61.

From what I've seen, its the console that has the best version of multiplatform games that usually leads in the US.

The PS2 over the Xbox
Then the 360 over the PS3

So I'm thinking that you'll still see the PS4 over the One as long as you see better versions of multiplats on their console
