Forums - Gaming Discussion - Digital Foundry Performance Analysis: The Amazing Spider-Man 2

It's like the reverse of PS3/360. Esp that screen tear thing. I recall so many performance analyses of PS3vs360 and PS3 almost always had notably higher screen tear.

But what happened to all those Spidey not coming to Xb one rumours. Talk about the biggest non-April fools April fools.

Either Activision got the game finished at the last minute or they wanted to keep the discussion going.

Ultimately, this game got more attention than it deserved simply because people were hoping X1 was losing support.

Was it not just a manufacturing problem and the retail version is delayed, or did that come out as well?

If this game is to show how powerful PS4 is compared to Xbox One I have to say that PS4 is very weak and Xbox One is super weak. Or we just realize that they didn't have enough time to get the game running with 60fps on PS4 and even less time to get the Xbox One version to look at least as bad as the PS4 version.

IIRC they also fixed the issue with black levels... But looking at the comparison video with WiiU PS4 also seemed to be way brighter.

No. They just fixed the sharpering filter... black levels is yet wrong... you can even look at Trials for example.

Interesting tactic by the devs. They game would have received nowhere near this much attention if they actually bothered with the xbox version. Welcome to the new age of purposefully making a shit port just for hits.

Brilliant strategy. Make it appear to be cancelled without a reason, then 'leak' a digital version, get it while it's still available. Stealth transition to phase out physical releases.
Probably purely accidental, just a screw up in production or disc certification.

I do remember screenshots of Killer Instinct where the picture was way better than before... Well, whatever.

Nice. Awesome. So if I ever want to play it Xbox One it is. Good to know.
