Final Fantasy XIV is locked behind a sub wall, meaning the potential audience is greatly reduced.

Pay money for the game, pay money for PS+ (not required, but most people will want it), and then pay $15 a month to play, along with more cash for expansions. There's a reason why most MMOs don't take off with a wide audience.

Maybe, Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiidge Racer was it I believe.

If FFXIV was held back to make PS4 the lead platform then it would have been a much bigger deal and would probably have been somewhat of a system seller. As it is the PS4 version is just a port of a reboot of the game.

Don't know, don't care. But I love FF14 on the PS4! It runs very smooth, it lets you play with mouse and keyboard if you want to and it's just a lot of fun with endless content. Great game.

Main line Final Fantasy game doesn't crack a million copies on PlayStation. Says it all.

Main line FF, since when did anybody count the MMOs as mainline. Being numbered dosent mean its mainline. Also it dosent have to sell as much as the main line series does, FFXI made more money then any game for Square ever.
