The thread isn't asking why FF14 isn't as hyped up, but why is it not considered as big an exclusive. To that i'd say that while the overall effect of TF and FF14 will be equally large, TF's is immediate but short lived while FF14's is slow and long lasting (by comparison). 

The PS4 in general is going to benefit a lot from it's appeal to MMO gamers.

I feel the OP is asking why isn't FFXIV getting as much attention as Titanfall. The simple answer is probably the original launch turned people off and the subscription fee.

Also, the MMO genre is kinda niche on consoles.

Once upon a time Final Fantasy was Godly. The series was amazing. 

Since 9 FF has been downhill. 10 was still ok. 11 terrible, 12 diabolicle and 13 is not even worth wasting my saliva over. Final Fantasy needs to go into the ground and never come back up.

PS gamers are just now coming to terms with our stolen culture of paywalls. A paywall on top of a paywall, coming off a history of bragging about free online MP.......too much for them to grasp.



Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

A paywall that doesn't affect MMOs, YouTube, Netflix, the Internet browser...

Titan Fall doesn't have single player, so its basically an MMO with XBl as a subscription fee.

So you missed the part on the front cover where (depending on the version) it clearly states "Online Only" and "Xbox Live Gold Required" and "Sold Separately"?

Are you new to the internet? People complained for years and years about the Xbox Live subscription fees. People only recently became accepting of it because Sony started charging for online play.

$60 a year (or less) to play many different games online is an easier pill to swallow than $15 a month ($180 a year) to play a single game online.
