I loved Sonic Adventures (can't remember if it was 1 or 2 but it was on Gamecube) more than any other Sonic game. I loved Starfox Adventures so much that it is one of my favorite adventure games of all times. Chances are I will like this game if it is similar to these two and not similar to traditional Sonic games.
It has potential since Sonic Team isn't making it.

It kind of is and it kind of isn't. The 3DS version is made by a different dev and has different levels and enemies, but both are called Sonic Boom and tie into the TV show.
Cautiously optimistic. Although I did get burnt on Sonic Lost World (I know some people loved it but the level design was poor, it was too easy to die and not easy enough to get more lives, and the controls just didn't work.)
Think I'll wait a week or so after release on this one and see what the consensus is first. Although it does like like an N64 era 3D platformer, which to me is like crack cocaine.
I've never ever been interested in any Sonic game in any shape or form, but Sonic Boom has piqued my interest.
