It literally is an exclusive, for the reasons already stated. The 3DS game is a separate game. The Wii U game will be it's own entity, not found on any other console.

Not trying to rush to the games defence, though I did love the game. But did you play it with the most recent updates? They actually fixed issues like the lack of lives :)

Though the controls will never be fixed if you didn't like them I guess.
