When is the last time you saw a thread about playing a game where people contributed and actually got along?, most threads are bitching, whining, one-uping, trolling or worse, the few that start out trying to be engaging and interesting are torn to shit by people who just want to argue the toss over which console is better, Hell i've done the same myself on numerous occasions, that doesn't however mean the observation is wrong.

I totally agree with most of what you said.

I would like to note though that there are forums where theres some good just discussion going on. The Official NeoGaf threads usually have very litle console warriors.

VgChartz is absolutly filled with console warriors though.

Yes, but you put it in such that it comes off incredibly douchy, albeit completely on point. Fanboys will be fanboys. You really think your observation has not been made before? We all know we are a bunch of whiny fucks, every single one of us and that's just the way we like it. We love arguing about shit we had nothing to do, we enjoy bashing each over trivial shit and we pitch tents when the opposing teams get shit on for a dissapointing game or bad PR from some corporate idiot who is out of touch with gamers.

This site would be really fucking boring if we all just sat around, circlejerking each other in support and peace, singing kumbaya. I know, you know, the mods know it and every other biased fanboy on this site KNOWS IT.

A normal person can do more than bitch or pander. There is this thing called discussion that actual makes interesting conversations as opposed to just immature whining and screaming that x thing is better than y thing because of some shallow reason.
