hunter this isn't a bubble popping, it's Brawl stockpiling. Most game stores in my city have well over 300 pre-orders per store. The guy at Gamestop said this is the most pre-orders for any game he's seen since Halo 3, and Nintendo is setting up a huge Wii shipment for them along with the game.
