Proof MS overshipped? Funny how you say they will be very low for the next 3 Q's, you realise last year 360 and PS3 were on par right? CYQ2 for instance PS3 shipped 1.1m, 360 shipped 1m.

Come back when you have something relevent to say.

No one needs to asume that every PS4 shipped aut sold, its a fact. You couldnt find the thing anywhere on the planet.

I think you should check the links one more time, since 360 constantly reached its goal a few weeks before PS3. This, together with the latest shipments, prove that PS3 has lost alot of steam this holiday season, alot more than 360.

VGC should probably start tracking shipment figures instead, since they will always be more exact and make for much less discussion about the actual success of consoles.

Well 360 sold 80+ million more games, made a bigger profit, made bigger gen over gen gains.....is that sufficient to "spin" it as a win for MS? ;)

Besides, PS3 launched in November 2005, the same time as Xbox 360, in the hearts of PS fans everywhere. That totz counts.

x360: 80.3m

PS3: 81.0m

The numbers on the screen have been wrong many times and contested and that is what this thread is about. You might want to go reread the front page, you most likley didn't do that, you just commented.

You may take his 3 month old sources on who hit 80m first as a reasonable basis for contesting the numbers on vgchartz right now, but I dont.

It's been a long long time since Sony and MS have used sold to consumer figures for 360 and PS3 in these statements.

Yeah i know but in that moment of the 7th gen, the news you link to clearly say that ps3 reached 80 million consoles sold and X360 distributed. Now both have more than 80 million but ps3 is 700k ahead
