Do we need any more proof now??

PS3 + PS4 - 7.8

360 + One - 7.4 (3.5m 360, 3.9m XB1)

PS4 sold through 4.2m, so who knows what they shipped, 4.5m? More? Leaving 3.3m for PS3.

Mid October MS announced 80m, Sony announced 80m 3 weeks later.

The numbers here are way out that's for sure.

360 @ 80m Oct 17th - http://uk.ign.com/articles/2013/10/17/xbox-360-80-million-sold-and-counting

PS3 @ 80m Nov 6th - http://uk.ign.com/articles/2013/11/06/ps3-sells-over-80-million-units-with-4332-games-released

Xbox 360 tied for last place. Xbox 1 no longer doomed. confirmed

I think you should check the links one more time, since 360 constantly reached its goal a few weeks before PS3. This, together with the latest shipments, prove that PS3 has lost alot of steam this holiday season, alot more than 360.

VGC should probably start tracking shipment figures instead, since they will always be more exact and make for much less discussion about the actual success of consoles.
