Mario Kart Wii's release date was anot announced until March 12.  It launched just 6 weeks later.

Actually, yeah.

Nintendo are well known for keeping exact release dates in the dark until very near the release.  That's why they use the temporary season or quarter dates a lot.

What are the examples then? In the last 2 years?

Wii U sports is one. Wii Fit U is another.

Also what the fuck is even the point of this topic? This obviously isn't even remotely possible. Personally, I can see it breaking 6 million in April, possibly even March if things go well, but it's 100% guaranteed in May at the latest.

I don't know what to say.  Wii U sales continue to drop, but Mario Kart 8 is most likely going to come out during April or so. I am on the fence.. I am going to be positive and say that it will reach 6 million by E3..

Looks like your prediction of 6,2 million may be more realistic than i first thought, if the draught of the WiiU in 2014 ends up looking like it does right now!!
