Ok, this is kind of ridiculous. E3 is still more than 5 months away, and the site already has it at 5.7M as of January 18th. There's no way it can't sell more than 300K units within the next 5 months.

Even if it's at 5.6 million, which is the lowest number we have for it at the moment, that's 20 weeks to sell 400K units. The Wii U can sell 20,000 units a week and make 6 million. Those are lower weekly numbers then last year when the console had no titles coming out whatsoever. The Wii U has both Donkey Kong and MK8 both scheduled before E3, if that wasn't enough.

Plus, the Wii U is still selling well over 20K a week at the time being. It would have to immediately dip to 20K, get no boost whatsoever from either DK or MK8, and then MAYBE it wouldn't reach 6 million. Maybe. Those are some really far fetched circumstances to begin with.

It's actually 4 more months, we're almost in february and the number is 6,2 million. I expect 6,5 million though.

Nah, it'll hit 6M. But, it sure as heck isn't going to blow by it anytime soon. More like a crawl.

Because people are fools and like to fabricate things where there isn't any.  Nintendo has NOT revised or updated that release date at all, people are just "delaying" it all on their own.

This doesn't mean it won't be delayed, something Nintendo is famous for.  But April 2014 was the intended release date, which is, indeed, "Spring".
