Forums - Sales - Prediction: WiiU won't hit 6m by E3.

According to VGC the Wii U is on 5.6m.

To get to 6 million by the end of May it needs to sell 400k in 20 weeks? It only needs to sell 20k a week to hit that goal.
It sold 47k in the week of the 18th, in the slow month of january.

You sir, are headed to a lost bet.

First of all it isn't a bet, second of all I already amended it to 6.2m :), thirdly if Nintendo shipments are flat YOY they expect no more than 6.4m shipped end of June.

You should update the title then.

Not really. They've reforecast this time of year before and still missed (yes with a mere 2 months to go they still got it wrong).

Well... well... it´s already 5,8 million and Mario Kart will come in March, so.......

Just a reminder, the 2013 E3 Mario Kart 8 Nintendo Direct trailer was pretty specific: it said April 2014 as the release date.

Edit: Forgot to mention that it was from the Nintendo Direct.

Why is that not the release date we have now then??

Because people are fools and like to fabricate things where there isn't any.  Nintendo has NOT revised or updated that release date at all, people are just "delaying" it all on their own.

This doesn't mean it won't be delayed, something Nintendo is famous for.  But April 2014 was the intended release date, which is, indeed, "Spring".

Then Nintendo would be using April 2014, except they're not are they?
