Which do you think takes the top spot, and why?

Never played one before. Looks fun though. Thinking of buying a Wii U to try it.

Pikmen 3 cause the visuals looks so damn awesome and that juice you collect at the end of each level just looks soo seducive

Haven't played Pikmin 3, but between 1 and 2, Pikmin 2 is superior in basically every aspect. I personally always hated the time restrictions, and while they are still present in Pikmin 2, it is not as bad as the first game thanks to the inclusion of caves (which is where you spend like 80% of the whole game). And having more than 1 captain adds more strategy and planning ahead.

I still need to try Pikmin 3, although I'm going to wait for a price cut.

Pikmin 2 (Great/Long Content especially compared to last game) By far the best imo

Pikmin (Original game and was quite the challenge with the 30 day system)

Pikmin 3 (In terms of gameplay best of the 3 by far, but not including all 7 pikmin in story and felt very short compared to Pikmin 2)

Haven't played 3 yet, so that could still nab the top spot.

2 turned the delight of the original Pikmin into somewhat of a chore. Diving through underground dungeons wasn't what made the original great - it was exploring these beautiful overworlds that felt totally alien and unlike anything I'd ever experienced before.

Pikmin 2 had that, but it hid it behind a screen of making you dungeon crawl indefinitely to collect treasure.

Also, purple Pikmin made the game far too easy. And I don't understand why they had to make yellow Pikmin immune to electricity. Suddenly they went from having a unique trait to simply being colour-coded.

It wasn't a bad game. But it was a big letdown for me after the genius of Pikmin 1, which remains one of my favourite games of all time thanks to the brilliant concept and execution.

but i liked 1 the best because it had the most simple design, i felt that 2 with the whole dungeon thing was a bit too much

I don't have wii u yet, but I tried Pikmin 3 and is amazing. It has everything to be my favorite in the series.

I'll have to go with the poll majority and say Pikmin 3.

It strikes a great balance between the time pressure of #1 and the more relaxed pace of #2.
