I came for Nintendo and stayed for third-party.

You do realize is optional, and you can play with the Gamecube controller or the Wiimote + Nunchuk, right?

I know its optional which is why its more stupid that you'd need to purchase another controller/peripheral just to not use the motion. Why not just have an option menu in the game to turn the motion control on or off when only using the wiimote and use the d-pad instead? I think its very stupid.

The Nunchuk is standard across the majority of Wii games, its not some add-on.

K the thing is I got the Wii for NSMB as it does 4 wiimotes as itself while obtaining 3 other wiimotes via gifts and game bundles as it's more important to have wiimotes than nunchucks.  So i'd find it pointless to have to buy additional nunchucks that will barely be used.  I dont play MK solo.

I'm not even sure why I come here anymore. Even the Wii can't get any love on this forum?

Anyway, the Wii had more games than I could even play. I bought 47 retail titles, 13 WiiWare titles, and 2 Virtual Console titles. My Wii wishlist still has 25 retail games and 5 WiiWare games I will probably never buy. Just too many great games to play. It is a great console.

Of the retail games 22/47 were Nintendo. They make some of the best games ever, so clearly any Nintendo console I own will have a lot of Nintendo games to go with it. Of the WiiWare games, 4/13 were Nintendo. And 1/2 for the Virtual Console.

But of course, Hitler never drove Nintendo into quarterly losses.

There were a lot of really really good motion controlled wii games, sad to see that a lot of people didnt get into them
