You do realize is optional, and you can play with the Gamecube controller or the Wiimote + Nunchuk, right?

I know its optional which is why its more stupid that you'd need to purchase another controller/peripheral just to not use the motion. Why not just have an option menu in the game to turn the motion control on or off when only using the wiimote and use the d-pad instead? I think its very stupid.

The Nunchuk is standard across the majority of Wii games, its not some add-on.

K the thing is I got the Wii for NSMB as it does 4 wiimotes as itself while obtaining 3 other wiimotes via gifts and game bundles as it's more important to have wiimotes than nunchucks.  So i'd find it pointless to have to buy additional nunchucks that will barely be used.  I dont play MK solo.
