I don't think any long time Nintendo fan who actually played through Nintendo consoles is going to say that Wii had the best Nintendo games.

As a Nintendo fans whose owned every console of theirs since the SNES, I say the Wii has their best games.

Barring the SNES (and ignoring Wii's VC and BC, on the other hand), I agree.

Bought it for Nintendo games, enjoyed ports like Okami and Resident Evil 4, as well as niche titles like No More Heroes and Little King's Story. Never regretted buying a Wii, bought around 25 retail titles and 30 digital, and got thousands of hours of local multiplayer play out of it, particularly during my undergraduate studies in a shared house.

im always a 50/50 in ters of 1st and 3rd party games. i bought Wii because it got a ton of good games from both sides

The Wii is my least favourite Nintendo System ever.
Yes, I bought it primarily for Nintendo games.
I have 25 games, 22 from Nintendo + Okami, MadWorld and No More Heroes. I also had Red Steel at launch, but I sold it after a few days.

I have more 3rd party titles on Wii U than Nintendo games.

Bought it at launch, as I do with all consoles, ended up being mostly used for virtual console!

I bought one because I thought (and still think) motion controls are cool. Wii Sports, Twilight Princess and Red Steel were behind my decision in particular.

Red Steel has got a fair bit of grief over the years but for its time it was pretty cool imo, even though the swordplay was pretty basic.

I bought it as my main console and ended up with more than 75 games for it, it was not a first party game that sold it to me (but it was Zelda that sold it to my wife), it was a 3rd party title.

I took advantage of the niche and obscure titles that were released for the console, some took good advantage of the controls, some others did not, but it was a good experimental phase, now I appreciate more kind of titles and not just AAA games, cause you never know where your next favorite will appear (I am looking at you No More Heroes franchise).

Review scores were so inflated last gen. I don't think any long time Nintendo fan who actually played through Nintendo consoles is going to say that Wii had the best Nintendo games. I still to this day believe that that title belongs to the game cube. That console was home to the best modern Nintendo games.

Well I am a longtime nintendo fan since 1986 (NES) and had all of the nintendo consoles and most of their first party games throughout, and I can honestly say that the Wii could very well have the greatest first-party nintendo games ever in their respective franchises (MarioKart Wii, Mario Galaxys, SSBBrawl, Twilight Princess & Skyward Sword, etc, etc, those are amazing videogame gems).

But I think it all depends on the taste, so this statement is only my personal opinion, you are entitled to your opinion as well... I don't think we could claim which one of us is right and which is wrong, it is all relative, but hopefully we can agree that in this industry there are no games quite like nintendo games. Cheers!
