I guess we'll be see 8 to 10 times more explosions in RE7. Can't wait.
Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

8-10 times longer? So, seeing as how most big titles took at least one year to eighteen months in the 7th gen, games will now take 8-15 years to make?! That's the most ridiculous thing I ever heard!
Perhaps they meant laying the ground work for the future, versatile engines and tools for x86 development; perhaps. They probably started this work a long time ago, but this is still a load of bull.
Last gen had the massive HD transition, an entirely new era in console game development, the 8th gen is a continuation on the same path with different custom die chipsets that are a lot closer to the actual machines doing the actual development.
Capcom is full of it. And; Resident Evil 7 will probably be pathetic, just like 6.
False. Assets have always typically modeled higher res than required then reduced to fit hardware budgets. All next gen means is the assets don't have to be reduced as much and take up more space.
This is so laughable. The graphics chips run at higher resolution and render additional pixels automatically. Its not like the game takes 8x longer to make because there are 8x the pixels rendered.
That's like saying if you adjust the resolution on a PC game from 1280x720 to 1920x1080 they have to go back and redo the game and takes 2x as long.
This is actually a very good thing... Why??
It means that as time progresses there is a greater demand for the skill set of game developers. I think its a good thing that there challenges like this in the industry, its a good challenge that will create more and more developers and more innovation in my view.
Nonsense. It will be roughly on the same level as last gen - sometimes less resources (manpower) will be needed due to more effective development tools, and sometimes a little more resources are needed to create slightly better graphics than in the PS360 gen.
