Microsoft supposedly paid $50 for exclusivity for GTA 4 DLC.

I would assume they paid more for a full game. I would guess $100 million.

Despite the PS4 being a runaway success, I am sure EA is laughing all the way to the bank, as Microsoft probably paid close to $200 to EA for all of their exclusivity deals (Plants vs Zombies, FIFA, etc).

I also think Vince is pissed, since he probably makes a royalty based on the number of copies sold. From his tweets, he seemed to be surprised that EA made it a Microsoft exclusive. This means less copies sold, and less money for him. EA better share or I can see Respawn leaving.

Microsoft paid $50 million for DLC for the world's most popular game at a time when they were not a power in gaming.

When this deal was made (and even now) Microsoft is a leading power in video games, the title is a new IP, the PS4 hadn't launched and there is no offline mode.

If they paid anything like $50 million (letalone more) I'd be surprised.

GTA V was $265 million..people really need to re work their estimates. $100 million is possible though.

this number has always been a bit misleading, cause it includes the advertisement budget aswell

well didnt MS spend like $50 million or more on making the DLC for GTAIV a timed exclusive.

that was for just DLC, and for just a few months. this is an entire game, forever, I'd expect at least $150m

I think the game will do well with the hardcore but not good with everyday gamers.so they over paid for it lol

VITA 32 GIG CARD.250 GIG SLIM & 160 GIG PHAT PS3

however much it costs to get timed exclusivity and get the company to say "it's definitely not coming to another system", as to make sure the sales are focused on Xbox instead of people holding out for a possible port.

They did it all the time last gen, and people fell for it hook line and sinker every time

and it was never official :/

Microsoft paid 50 millions i guess for the expension of gta 4 on xbox for 6 month ,Titanfall is not as big as gta abut i think is not a timed exclusive and it's a full game not a expension i would said something near to 50millions

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

Impossible. That's way too much. Halo 4 was reported to cost nearly $100 million but that included marketing. I'd estimate Microsoft paid $30 million for Titanfall.

Who knows?

We will find out in about 2 months if it was worth it.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

I voted nothing. Why would MS pay a bean for a game that's gonna be on PC? Zampella claimed that they went with only 3 platforms because they are little guys who can only do so much and they couldn't possibly develop for all platforms. It makes sense for them to develop for the console with the bigger FPS fanbase. More than likely they are not looking at a late port not because MS paid them off, but because they will be busy doing 2 things, continuing to release content for TF and, they hope, working on TF2 (which they've indicated will probably be on PS4)
