I really can't guess.

I just can say $150-200m seems a lot for a game that won't cost that to be developed... it uses the old Source engine.

Edit - Fixed the engine.

They are not paying for development of the game, they are paying for estimated cash that would have been made if the game was on PS3/PS4.

Packman speculated it to be anywhere from $20-$40 million. Not one knows for sure at the moment.

GTA V was $265 million..people really need to re work their estimates. $100 million is possible though.

I don't think it was that much. 100million sound excessive for a single game just for exclusivity. When this deal was made no one expected the insane amount of PS4s sold or the huge hype that built around this game. I think it was a really good deal for MS in the end and EA sold the game short and are probably kicking their asses right now.

They're not paying for the dev costs. Just exclusive rights.

I dont think they actually paid that much. I feel the game wasnt expected to be a runaway hit like it seems it will be and so they got it on the cheap. thats why future titles will be on PS aswell, to make more of a profit
