I am very interested to see how Titanfall performs. The fact that it is not exclusive to the xbone but available on 360 and PC somehow make that 20m figure somewhat far fetched. I expect 360 to take the giant sales there. Paying all that money just to play a game that is available on far cheaper options doesn't seem to me to be the thing most people will do.

We shall see.

I love my 3DS, but I don't believe in that million figure. We'll see soon enough though.

The difference is not so big, 200k (yes 200k and you perfectly know why)more than PS4 being 300$ cheaper and a handheld.

I would tend to agree with you. Because Dragon quest 9 on DS was awesome and sold really well and I would be really happy with dragon quest 11 on my loved 3DS.

But have you seen this japanese poll?

Curiously 3DS is not even in the list but only taken care in the 9% of "other platform" choice.

What PS4 could do to the DQ serie is MMORPH stuff like DQ10 I guess. Well the ideal scenario would be 2 Dragon quest: 1 for 3DS and 1 for PS4. Or better, 2 versions of the same game where PS4 and 3DS gamers could play together online. But Nintendo and Sony would have to agree I suppose.

For some reason, I'm not comfortable with Europe ps4 numbers, it looks overtracked.

Well ... you make me feel bad about appologising. The PS4 and the 3DS are not comparable for obvious reasons and I'm sure if you go through several threads you'll find them easily. Cheaper, handheld (different market), more regions, longer on market, bigger games library, and not production restrained. Now pardom me while I look at the Wiiu and the XBO:

Just as the 3DS is doing incredible in the handheld market, the PS4 is doing incredible well in the console market. Can you handle that?

And why keep bringing up 3DS on the "PS4 doubles Xbone thread".  Go make a "3DS 1.5 up's PS4" or "3DS tripples Xbone" or "3DS crushes Vita", or "3DS declines YoY for the 2nd year in a row.  Why?" thread :).

Makes perfect sense to me. The 3DS is selling a lot better than the PS4 yet it isn't sold out - Why is that? Because PS4 has less shipments/less consoles out there than the 3DS. Hence, PS4 has low shipments.

And furthermore, people are fools, complete fools, if they really think that handhelds and home consoles don't compete - They only don't compete in your naive little minds. They most certainly do compete on the market. They absolutely compete regardless of which platform does consistently better. Because at the end of the day, it's about games vs games, and it's about which system that plays games that people want to spend their green on. That's the main competition that counts.

The goal posts keep on getting moved and it's driving me MAD! I'm not interesting in 'victrory' I'm intersted in 'success' because success means more support. Happy new year, mate. :)
