Dragon Quest usually comes to the best selling platform of the generation thus far so, if PS continues this craziness we'll get it on PS4. However, I strongly believe that the next Dragon Quest will be for 3DS. It has 41 million units, and Japanese gamers are always on the move... it'll probably be for 3DS and not take advantage of what the PS4 can do for the series as the PS2 did for Dragon Quest 8. Lets' just hope.

I would tend to agree with you. Because Dragon quest 9 on DS was awesome and sold really well and I would be really happy with dragon quest 11 on my loved 3DS.

But have you seen this japanese poll?

Curiously 3DS is not even in the list but only taken care in the 9% of "other platform" choice.

What PS4 could do to the DQ serie is MMORPH stuff like DQ10 I guess. Well the ideal scenario would be 2 Dragon quest: 1 for 3DS and 1 for PS4. Or better, 2 versions of the same game where PS4 and 3DS gamers could play together online. But Nintendo and Sony would have to agree I suppose.
