PS is the only brand they have threatened to pull all support from so far and that was a few years ago when PS3 wasn't selling so well and neither was PSP (To Activision standards)

And that didn't happen because PS3 owners bought a ton of Activision games.

so did Wii owners GH, Skylanders etc..

I'm not sure, but if WiiU owners don't support 3rd party games then they won't get 3rd party games.

I can't say I blame fans for skipping lazy ports, which the Wii U gets too many of.

Basically, I'll support the kind of games I want to see; good games that aren't inferior on Wii U.

I get that, but that's also the sort of sentiment that's holding 3rd party support back. Nintendo fans won't buy 3rd party games that won't measure up, publishers won't put more effort into the games they release because people don't buy what they do put on it.

I still buy 3rd party games that meet my standards, it's not like I boycott them altogether.

They'll drop support when it's no longer profitable for them. Until then, they'll support it.

Given that none of us know the profitability of any Activision title on Wii U, none of us can state if or when they'll drop support.

As for using Destiny as a gauge to suggest Activision is going to drop support, might I remind you that Activision put many games on PS3 and X360 that the Wii never saw. Development for Destiny also began back in early 2009. Long before the Wii U was even announced...meaning a "Nintendo home console" version may simply have never been considered to begin with. Also, it's not just the Wii U missing out, PC, Vita and 3DS are not under development either.

One final factor to consider. Activision is now a independent of Vivendi and can put forth more support or take away support for Nintendo much faster than before.

Yes did well on the Wii which why Activision supported the platform long after many other publishers abandoned it, but I'm talking about the WiiU. I don't the factors are the same.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

No, but it's fun to discuss.

I don't disagree with you here.  But I do wish more of us would provide our points of view in a more openly speculative manner rather than stating them as some omniscient absolute.

it depends how much will cost to port from the x360 version.
even if it sells only 200k, they can make money.

Once the PS3 and Xbox 360 stop getting support the doors to the Wii U will also be closed. Activision will be apart of that and the COD sales on the Wii u as they said was inexcusable.

It´s Activision´s own fault that Call of Duty: Ghosts for the Nintendo Wii U does not sell good because their not supporting the Nintendo Wii U version, and they announced that before the game was released!!! And because DLC is very important for Call of Duty: Ghosts gamers, no one purchased the Nintendo Wii U version which has no DLC!!!

I knew this comment would pop up sooner rather than later.

They're not supporting the Wii U version because a whole four people purchased the game.  They're not going to spend time and money releasing DLC in the future when the game didn't sell well.  This specific DLC was free, but when porting the paid DLC over won't gain them a profit, you won't see that either.

Nintendo fans only buy first party games and sometimes exclusives, so third party developers should drop them.  It's a waste to support a fanbase that only cares about the latest rehash of Mario, Zelda, etc.

I'm not going to moderate this comment but only because you are a good poster, but the last point is *really* pushing it.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

u brought up the PS3. Early on activision games on PS3 where not that great either. I think COD3 sold better on WIi then it did on PS3.

Then what did we get? COD 4 skipped the Wii. The game that caused the franshise to explode. So everyone including myself bought a ps3 or 360 to play it.  This mean a lot of Wii U owner will buy the best version they can if they have multiple systems. I doubt that there is many WIi U only owners so Activision need to provide reason for people to switch platforms to buy the game. Or keep expanding to a new market on Wii U, which will be hard since the userbase is small.
