So right away you think MS is lying when they announce their sales but never ever doubt Sony's sales figures?
There's no reason to doubt MS's numbers since we don't know how much they have shipped.

Let's be honest, it is possible for them to reach 2 million, I think there are enough people who will still buy an Xbox even after all the stunts they have done. These are the core gamers who buy what they want.

Now is it possible that MS sold slightly less but as it being difficult to count these things, claim 2 million.. yeah thats possible also.. I mean look at the "Fastest selling console" quote they are pushing, total spin.. so yeah all possible.

*But* lets be honest we are not going to really know the situation of whats going on until January and probably most likely February, so don't think its worth worrying about right now. Everyone is looking for their own evidence to support a particular console. It's all too cloudy to see what is the truth right now.

Just some new maths on why I don't trust that number, based on some new numbers I recently came across in a thread I missed.

US - 909K for Nov.  MS 2M was for roughly one week longer than NPD.  So, let's just say they sold ~90K more for that week and reached 1M.

UK - 170K for 2 weeks.  So, let's say it reached 200K for the next week.

FR - ~50K for 3 weeks.  So, let's just say it was at 60K.

SP - 25K for 3 weeks.

AU - 65K for the first 3 days.  So, let's say it reached 100K.

This only gives us 1,385,000.  I'm just not seeing where MS pulled off more than 615K in regions that are going to favor Sony.  Especially when we see how low sales have been in France and Spain (it would have to sell 77K in ALL the remaining regions to hit the over 2M MS reported.)  And really even in the UK, when compared to the PS4.  If anyone has any insight and/or calculations of their own, I would be more than open to listening.

Not going to comment on all of this, but mostly focus on the bolded part because I think that pretty much explains the problem you are having.  We have the estimates here at vgchartz for the week in question, so why not use those?  We have double what you are saying here.  You seem to be underestimating all of your gaps in official knowledge.  

Not really saying microsoft did or didnt sell 2 million, but they obviously sold more than 90k in one week here in the us.  Vgchartz has microsoft about 200k off that mark, but I guess that is still one day before they annouced right?  Vgchartz is probably undertracking slightly.

The definitly sold more BF week though. A lot more actually. I doubt it would be much more than 90k possibly 150-200k. Percentage wise its alot more but hard numbers its not.

That third week was the week following Black Friday, though.  I would imagine they would have made sure to put as much stock for that week as possible.  And if I'm not mistaken the third week is when most retailers (at least online) were sold out, and started to receive shipments just this past week or so.  Still, even if I went with VGC's 164K, that brings the total 1.46M, or 540K from MS's 2M.  It would still need to pull off 68K in every region, besides the 5 we know the sales of, to reach over 2M.  Again, given France and Spain's low sales, I just don't think that's what happened.
