Given it´s not Zelda, the only possible game that can generate a good reaction in the VGX is an amazing trailer of Super Smash Bros. showing a new and unnexpected character.

If that is the case then you would have expected them to seriously catch on by now.

If not and if indeed DK is the title... Reggie and Iwata need to go. Wii was a great success, but now they are hurting the company. (If DK is THE game they show, and I truly hope it is not.)

Yeah, the current management is ridiculously oblivious to how the industry operates these days.

It is really upsetting too, since it seems that they bought into the idea of Nintendo = Kids and that we don't want games like X. 

WE WANT MORE X!!!

Honestly, I don't think X is the right choice for VGX either. Most of the audience is going to be "dude-bro" gamers, people who have no interest in JRPGs. 

It isn't just "Dude-bro's". It is also the normal forum goers. The people who DO care about X and/or Zelda U.

 

No way they would be stupid enough to create hype for a DK extra character and/or DK in general. If that is the case then they are no doubt out of and I give up.

The more I think about it the more I think how ridiculous that DK announcement would be. I just hope they realize how important the premiers are in the VGX. Comoooon Nintendo don't fuck this up.

If Nintendo goes to a show like VGX only to show an additional character in Donkey Kong then I blame them for being dense and actually believing that this is what their fans actually wanted.

I still believe it is either X or Zelda U.

Yes but better to go with low expectations.

Dammit. Was really looking forward to a new game. I guess Smash would be the best bet to excite the crowd now. Even though Donkey Kong looks great, I don't think it would impress as much as Smash Bros. Maybe Reggie will announce a new character like Little Mac or something.
