No, I don't think so.  Wii U version has full HD graphics, and Smash has always been a "flashy"-type game.  I think the 3DS version will do well, but I would be surprised if the Wii U version, which is the flagship version, sells worse than on 3DS.


Does 3DS have decent online play?

It's frustrating and tragic that a couple of  nobodies on a gaming forum have a better grasp of how to run the company than the experienced professionals who actually do.


If they truly cared about what I wanted then they would also changed the name from just "X".

It needs a proper name.

It's most likely the other character in Donkey Kong. It's your fault for hyping yourself up too much. Reggie on the other hand is always in hype mode.

Honestly, I don't think X is the right choice for VGX either. Most of the audience is going to be "dude-bro" gamers, people who have no interest in JRPGs.

If Nintendo goes to a show like VGX only to show an additional character in Donkey Kong then I blame them for being dense and actually believing that this is what their fans actually wanted.

 

I still believe it is either X or Zelda U.

I think this was already confirmed (?) but anyways, Nintendo will blow everyone away with a new trailer for yes, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze :(

If Nintendo are going to go to an event like VGX, and tease a reveal, it's their responsibility to damn well have something worthwhile to show. A new playable character in a 2D platformer will be a freaking joke at an event like this.

Look at their advertising of Wii U.

Look at the drought in the first half of 2013.

Look at the name "Wii U" itself.

The answer is yes, they are absolutely that stupid.

When you make that any mistakes you'd think they'd learn something. Sigh, can't wait to play another platformer on WiiU. I didn't get enough with New Super Mario Bros U, Super Luigi U, Super Mario 3D Land, Rayman Legends, Sonic Lost World, etc. 


Two are 2d platformers and other two are 3d platforms. (One is DLC)

Is donkey kong country the same as donkey kong 64?

i hate when people group games without using an ounce thinking about what they are saying.

I thought plenty about what I was saying. 2D and 3D platformers are different yes, but they're still platformers. The point I was making is that the WiiU needs more variety in it's lineup. Especially since it's desperately trying to shed the "kiddie" image it's been branded with. A darker Zelda or Metroid would have been perfect to get the hardcore audience back. I really don't see what Donkey Kong could do with the WiiU. 


Nobody buys metriod. Zelda was promised E3. Donkey Kong is coming in two months. Donkey a great following with old-school gamers. Nintendo is going to have like 10 minutes online but on tv like 1 minute.
