Mass shootings are barely done by common criminals.

No, you're the one missing the point here. You're trying to homogenize criminals. You're making an assumption, and one that isn't even correct or one you can prove. I also never said I wanted to ban guns, I didn't even take a side.
I'm saying that calling the other side delusional is an arrogant thing to say, because it means that your ideas are better and anyone who doesn't agree has something wrong with them. There is obviously merit to both sides, and there are definitely the "delusional" ones on BOTH sides. However, there are legitimate arguments coming from the side that wants more restrictive gun control.
There's a pretty big difference between wanting to ban all guns, and wanting new gun restrictions. When you look at worldwide crime statistics, the countries that have the lowest murder and suicide rates are countries with moderate gun control laws, such as what we see in Europe and Australia. Countries that ban ALL guns also tend to have some of the worst murder and homicide rates, though these are also typically countries with corrupt police forces and governments, so one must be careful when drawing parallels. Regardless, when you look at worldwide crime rates, having absolutely no gun control is anything but common sense.
I would personally encourage everyone to do some research on worldwide crime statistics and draw their own conclusions. This issue is far more complicated then "gun control is bad".

No, its true. The only excpetion to all mass shootings (per FBI's defintion of 3 or more people being shot and killed) happening Gun free Zones, is the Gabby Giffords shooting in Tuscan, AZ.
Thats the only one, all others without excption happened in gun free zones, whether it be gun free school zones, college compassed, malls and resturants, and theatres posting "no guns" signs, gun free military bases. all happened in gun free zones.
I like your nuanced, unbiased poll. You basically made a thread with a post supporting your view and will resort to calling people who disagree uninformed and even communists.
Polarizing an argument is a cheap tactic and only makes you look foolish.

thats not a fair comparison to make. because it doesnt include other factors such as culture and historical crime rates.
When you look at the crime rates of said european nations, before they enacted strict gun control, they already had lower gun homocide crime rates than the US. In fact after enacting gun control, most of the time their crime rates went up, or decreased at a slower rate they they already were.

its a poll of police officers. How is that biased?. its their own views.
edit: your talking about my poll, right? of course its biased. its not to be taken seriously.

I'd be curious if you had a reference for this statistic because I found this through a brief search:
https://s3.amazonaws.com/s3.mayorsagainstillegalguns.org/images/analysis-of-recent-mass-shootings.pdf
which seems to go against what you said. Now the agenda of those writing the report is obviously suspect, but there are some clear examples in there of mass shootings happening in places that were not gun free zones. Many private residences as well as a Sikh Temple shooting in Oak Creek WI that I remember extremely well.
...

Can't speak for the US, but I'm glad I live in a country where I can be fairly confident Johnny Redneck and Tommy Dickhead next door don't own guns.
