Your missing the whole point. A criminal who wants to do something illegal isn't going to abide by a gun law. So banning them from your average person makes no sense at all. 


No, you're the one missing the point here.  You're trying to homogenize criminals.  You're making an assumption, and one that isn't even correct or one you can prove.  I also never said I wanted to ban guns, I didn't even take a side.
I'm saying that calling the other side delusional is an arrogant thing to say, because it means that your ideas are better and anyone who doesn't agree has something wrong with them.  There is obviously merit to both sides, and there are definitely the "delusional" ones on BOTH sides.  However, there are legitimate arguments coming from the side that wants more restrictive gun control.
