As a shenmue fan since 1999. You're an idiot. That's an uprezzed picture and Shenmue did look amazing but Shenmue had major slowdown and textures were often blurry and very low rez.

It doesn't push anywhere close to the amount of raw polys the GCN did.

But it has better shader abilities.

The GCN was a beast, some of its games like RE4, Star Wars Rogue Squadron II/III, Star Fox Adventures, F-Zero GX, Wind Waker still look great today.

If we are just talking about raw specs the 3DS is, mostly, superior to the Gamecube. I don't think that means the 3DS is specifically better than the Gamecube although that is a whole different story and asks for opinions as well.
