So what happen if you play offline??

1080p 60FPS lol. It's a pile of shit PR stunt.

I know that microsoft hasn't being the best so far when it comes to competing but cloud rendering actually works. (Onlive anyone ?)

It could be a PR stunt and microsoft just decided to not include hundred million dollar servers to render a part of the game LOL.

not financially apparantly:

On 17 August 2012 the company laid off all of its employees.[27] OnLive entered into a proceeding known as an "Assignment for the Benefit of Creditors", wherein all previous OnLive shareholders purportedly lose their stakes in the company.[28] OnLive then sold off its assets and started a new company, also called OnLive.[29] On 20 August 2012 the company officially revealed Lauder Partners as the buyer.[30] On 27 August 2012, founder Steve Perlman stepped down as CEO,[31] Gary Lauder became Chairman, and Charlie Jablonski, former VP of Operations, was appointed COO and acting CEO.[32] It was revealed in October 2012 that OnLive was sold for only $4.8 million. For a company that analysts once estimated was worth approximately $1.8 billion, there was some surprise at the low figure for which the company was sold. Some analysts speculated that the true value of the patents held by the company was potentially in the hundreds of millions of dollars, but that the firm's poor bargaining position led to the cheap sale.

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

I am not sure if it's a good idea from PR people to brag about 1080p specifically with Forza. Have they seen the latest build of the game in the latest (excellent) Xbox command voiced demo?

Rumors of very aliased recent build are becoming more of a reality and less rumors; when the pixel counters will find those screenshots...

Please just talk about fast command voice app switching which is in itself really impressive more so than a 1080p resolution in a driving game.

I never said it didn't. My reply was right on the mark.

lol at the cloud, this is a new buzz word. there's nothing cloud powered here! they can make this 1080p 60fps without cloud

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

Actually, it reads to me like, they used the cloud to do all the computational stuff whilst developing the game. Meaning that freed up development resources to focus on ensuring the engine was optimised to run 1080p/60fps.

Rather than it actually being, the finished product needs to access the cloud in order to deliver the physics.

So you have no physics without the Cloud?

The cloud just helps with the AI drivers (drivatars).

Huh? The AI thing they are boasting about are "server stored AI behaviour modules" that are updated overtime by either data collection or their own AI updates, basically, it's a network storage cluster, no real calculations are made.

Damn then I guess microsofts gonna need to charge a $200 dollar fees yearly in order to maintain dat cloud LOL.

They can pull a Legacy stream through Cloud, but can improve graphics on games...

They must decide if the internet is not quite there yet or if they have 40x Xbones in the cloud.

Does this mean all the mocking posts like "don't worry, I'm sure the Xbone will get that extra res from the magical cloud! xD" will now turn into mocking post about "Hah! Can't even do it with just the box. Need extra help from the cloud! xD"

Cool

Nah... the game will run 1080p@60fps without Cloud... there are just spreading bullshit.

OR

The game run at 720p60fps offline.

I don't what is worst... maybe the better was to say nothing.

It's total bullshit.

The cloud has nothing to do with the 1080pness or the 60fps. MS is just playing with words to make it look like cloud has something to do with 1080p@60fps without actually saying it. They're letting your mind try and make those connections which are not true.

Cloud computation for AI I totally believe that.

The cloud takes care of all the online functionality, so that it gave them more time to work on getting the game into that 1080p/60fps marker. It doesnt seem that hard to understand? I dont see why people are so confused/outraged.

Asked to clarify that Turn 10's ready access to the cloud has allowed it to spend more time improving Forza 5's resolution and physics, Greenawalt responded: "Right. And that's what's allowed us to, in three years, have a game that has innovation like Drivatar, looks beautiful as well as having the new things we're doing in physics, like the tyres and suspension."

I really dont see the problem?
