Forums - Gaming - David Jaffe Says "Nintendo Should Sell There Corp. Or Make Some New Shit."

Says the guy who has worked on damn near the same franchise for almost 20 years and is now working on an iPhone game.

Which is presumably some new shit!

Words well said, too back Nintendo is too stubborn to listen to criticism. I can respect them for that, but everything need criticism to improve their skills and company as a whole.

Don’t follow the hype, follow the games

Can you explain the criticism part. What is the criticism and what you want them to do that would make you drop everything and go gaga?

Guys, actually listen to the video he brought up some really good points.

He didn't just say sell it, he said "sell it to disney because they know marketing, and they could put in a nintendo part of disneyworld, etc." I'm not opposed to this. If nintendo could function as they do now, with Disney's marketing behind it, good things would happen.

He didn't just say "they need to make new shit" he just said it would be good to have new devs inside nintendo forming a new generation of nintendo games. He himself mentioned playing many of recent Nintendo games.

The title of the thread is misleading, and there was nothing to freak out about here. I actually agree with him.

I think Nintendo should stop forcing Mario, and Zelda franchise on everyone so much. They need to make a new super hero. Thats all I think they need to do.

Nintendo already did. Wonder Red.

Complains about games taking the story telling route instead of focusing on game play. Picks on the company that does so.

I haven't watched the video. So i am saying this based on the thread title and other responses.

Edit: Watched the segment. What i said above.

Are you sure? Because he didn't pick on anything. He was asked a question about Nintendo. And his criticism had nothing to do with Nintendo focusing on gameplay. He said getting some new blood to revitalize their first party games would be a good way to improve Wii U's situation.

I love how conceited some gamers and reviewers are. Or developers in this case.

Apparently EVERY company needs to cater to them. God forbid a company not make games that you like, yet millions of others do. Just cause you loved Nintendo when you were a kid, doesn't mean Nintendo has to make games that you like as you grow up. Let them do their own shit and let other companies make your type of games.

When you want a Hamburger, you don't go into Subway and bitch at them for not making Hamburgers, you go to a store that sells hamburgers.

There are 100's of developers that make mature games, play their games, don't bitch to Nintendo to make mature games.

I hate using the word mature, cause it really doesn't mean mature when talking about video games. I don't consider violence and sex as being mature. Especially coming from a guy who developed God of War and Twisted Metal.  Those two games are the least mature games I can think of, well maybe behind Zombie cheerleaders

They guy who did Twisted Metal and God of War... damn what an inspiring man. When I grow up I want to be like him and participate in interviews where I have no clue of what I'm talking about.
