Now for Nintendo, is it bad to cater to all age groups or just one? Think about that without the diapers analogy. |
Diapers is just an analogy as you said.
I personally think Nintendo games cater to EVERYONE. Heck most the ratings for their games are E.
But how would adding violence, blood, sex, realistic graphics, ect to Mario for example cater to Everyone, compared to current Mario. Pretty sure the current mario as it is caters to a larger demographic than if it made it more "mature"
Would Zelda cater to more fans if it had blood or voice acting or sex or whatever you think will make it more mature? How many games in Zelda's genre that have those aspects sell better than Zelda? Do you really think adding those aspects would improve Zelda's sales?
do that for other Nintendo games.
The gaming forums/websites never seem to realize they are the minority. Some what 20 million people bought GTA5. Is there 20 million users roaming around this website or ign or others? Hell no. Some 30 million bought Mario Kart Wii. What percent of those do you think are registered on a gaming website?
